Hi All,
I've had my car for 3 years and quite frankly.. I'm Bored. So I'm looking to do a few little things here and there. Ie. Flash tune + Dyno time... but prior to this I would like to change the exhaust so I don't have to re-dyno at a later date. Any recommendations? At the moment I'm fancying those Dual 2.5" systems with the quad pipes by XFORCE. Are they any good? 3.5" Dump pipe, 4" Dump pipe? Cat? Id probably go for a larger resonator as I want it to sound grunty under acceleration but not idle like a pig. What sort of cost would be involved also? Approx Any help would be muchly appreciated. - Had this posted elsewhere (Another forum) but eager for any/all answers

the xforce systems are good for the money, not the best thing out but will be fine for what your after.
not sure about which dump would be better, but go for a big cat aswell, just remember that when you change the dump and cat you will need the wastegate on the turbo modified to flow better, otherwise it will overboost = bad. i would recommend a k+n filter, valve springs, injectors and a tune before the exhaust.

Really depends on how far you wanna take the power to. 3'' dump is plenty big enough for a std xr6t. I can recommend Ballistic cat's. I'd go 3" inch to the diff, then, if you like the dual twin outlets.
The twin mufflers will keep it pretty quiet, while not sacrificing flow...... Cheers Daz

DA22LE: a 3 inch system will be nearly more restrictive than the standard system, as its 2x 2.25inch.
xforce make a 3.5inch system or twin 2.5. the 3.5 will be a bit louder.. i have a standard exhaust apart from a high flow cat, and mine makes 325rwkw @14psi. so the stock one isn't too bad.

+1 for the standard exhaust here.. 340odd rwkw @15psi with with stock exhaust plus a hi flow cat..

another + 307 rwkw with stock exhaust tho i removed the middle muffler 2 give it a better note. nice and just under legal limit

Keep in mind you CAN have issues with overboost as the wastegate just keeps up with std
boost levels.. In most cases just porting the wastegate is enough.... 3" single is good for 370 rwkw.. As said tune after any exhaust mods...

it depends on how much you want out of the car, and if you plan on going further later down the track
youll also need valve springs if your pushing beyond 260-280rwkw on a BA as a rough guide these are some prices for power levels you can aim for if your not doing valve springs, i would only do injectors, tune and remove one of your mufflers, and possibly a cheapo cooler to go with it... this will cost you about $1500 to $2000 add valve springs and you can push 300rwkw, $800??? but at this stage you will need a decent cooler, add between $600 - $1500 and a fuel pump $150 320+rwkw, turbo needs to be ported, approx $800 fitted depending who does the work for 340+rwkw you will need the exhaust done, 3.5" or 4" dump, high flow cat, 3.5" or 2 x 2.5 pipes, $1500 and surge tank $800 and may be time to think about a plenum $1500, recomended but not necessary to get 260rwkw $1500 to get 300+rwkw $4000 to get 320+rwkw $5000 to get 350+rwkw $7000 im not sure about your trans, but be prepared to say good bye to your T5 or btr at 300rwkw, even at 260rwkw your std clutch wont last too long, so be prepared for that too... and rear tyre wear! haha

You dont have to port yout wste gate after 320rwkws mate, you port after about 360rwkws..
I have 2 mates running 350rwkws and still not proted... Cheers Pete
