I don't know if this is feasible or if it has been done before.
Using something like a normal Turbo charger to the exhaust and dispence with the compressor then drive the impeller from the fan belt. My theory is with suitable gearing the impellor should be developing a vacuum against any cylinder with its exhaust valve open, this would suck against the inlet once the inlet valve opened. The benifit here is that the air charge is cool, no intercooler required. Shoot me down if you like.

The trouble is, the intake and exhaust are only both open for a short amount of time. Novel idea but.

nice in theroy
but you would need to drive it at riduclous speeds which i dont think u can off the fan belt... and IF u can get it to work be huge $$ u can spend on a normal turbs and cooler also u will not get a + boost in the cylineders sure u will get more air in maybe 100% cyl volume but boost will give u way more!

extractors do it already. thats how that get the name.
on a good race engine the intake caused by extractors during the overlap period is actualy stronger than that caused by the piston moving down the bore |
