Mustangs are a fairly common car over in the states. So nowhere near as much as that sort of thing would be worth here!

I thought the canadian dollar was almost the same value as the aussie dollar?

But at the moment it is $1.00AUD = $0.879794

so that means $54558.22 here in Oz + import taxes

Yes, the Falcon range (chassis and engine) are built in Melbourne Australia, and have been for 30+ years.

I think the comment regarding import taxes was in relation to the cost of bringing a mustang from the US to AU.

Yeah...for imports. Stupid government puts it on with taariffs to protect the local manufactures :)
