Does anyone know if a shim gasket goes on the block side of the head gasket or the head side??
Also do you need anything for it to seal or will it just do so thanks.

how much boost are you running,
ive run 16psi on stock motors in the past with the std composite head gaskets without issue,
id probably be looking more at the tune if your blowing gaskets out that quick

Agree with 66 coupe.

I know of plenty of guys that have run 12psi etc on a stock engine with nil issues.

More likely the way you set it up and the tune than the comp, or were you trying to run stupid boost?

No it was supose to be running 12 psi but the wastegate actuator never moved. Whether i hooked it up wrong or what. But at 120 if i planted it it would sit sideways no clutch or anything and at around 220 it would start f&*%ing up..

None are plug and play. Just put a bleed off valve (one way Valve) on a T piece prior to the Map sensor. Will bleed off positive pressure (Boost) but will still operate on vac.

Yes

Are you running a J3 chip or an aftermarket ECU?

I'm Running a j3 chip
Mods:
*255 l/ph fuel pump
*42 lb injectors
*wade cam
*10 psi boost
*front mount
*3 inch exhaust
*1.5 mm shim
Chip was tuned by ti performance for those mods, but I rang a tuner in Brisbane. And he said I need to put a 2 bar map sensor and take it to them. So obviously they don't know falcons. I know I have to run a guage to the 02 sensor

You don't need the shim, however invest in a wideband o2 sensor and if you can't find anyone local that knows quart to do with the j3 then put an aftermarket ecu in.

Ok am getting it all put back together and throwing the shim in neway coz it's already apart. Will get a wideband. And am getting a new chip with data logger dyno and tune for 800. Does anyone have a diagram or drawing of how the vacume to the waste gate goes. Because every one I look at is completely different and there aren't any close ups of the falcon setup. So stressful have spent a small fortune on it I should have thrown an GG xr6 t motor in woul have been cheaper.

piss the shim off mate you dont need it and for not too much more than $800 you can put a fully programmable aftermarket ecu in
