Ive been thinking... a mate is trying to design a simple manifold design for a cheap t70 he has picked up. We were going to copy my manifold design but my mate is convinced we could run our crossover pipe along the back of the engine, and feed the crossover pipe into the back of the other log manifold, making plumping a lot simpler. Does anyone think it could work? I have seem photos of it done, yet it is a small minority who do it and ive seen no results to back the idea up. Any ideas?

Yeah mate thats how mine is setup keeps some heat out of the engine bay and away from radiator, btw make sure he gets the .68 ar turbine housing as it wont get full boost till 5000rpm IF its any bigger.

Would you have any pics of your manifolds, just so i know we are both talking bout the same thing? Im referring to having the crossover feeding into the rear of the opposite header?

If you make the pipe small enough in diameter to increase exhaust gas velocity, if should work, but as to how well is anybody's guess.....
You may also get a hot-spot on the manifold, from all the exhaust coming in at one point.... I think i'd like to do a ford V8 turbo, just to see how it would go...... Good luck Daz

Yep use 32mm pipe and steam pipe bends..
The turbo side log could be 1/2 thicker as in pic.. My manifolds are 32mm which seems quite small.. They run on pressure, big dia doesn't equate to flow.. A crossover at the front, under ballancer works too.. This pipe only needs to be 50mm.. I would use V bands to join them...
