Hi guys just ordered my plenum from snort. :D While I am waiting for it to turn up I thought I would do a bit of research on how to hook up the throttle cable and everything else. Can you use the EA throttle cable or do you have to get one made up also with the TPS and stuff do you just cut and run longer wires or is there a better way of doing it?

i just cut the TPS wires and ran them longer.
same with ISC.

You can use an EA throttle cable, it just reaches, but you'll wanna keep it away from the turbo.

EA Throttle cables melt if too near the turbo.

Sweet thanks mate. Yeah the EF ones like to melt when they are close to the turbo to found that out the hard way

EF ones arn't as prone to it as EA ones.
EF ones have metal sheilding so they tend to get sticky if they get too hot.
EA ones melt all of the surrounding material and make it useless.

Well you learn something new every day I just would have thought they would be made out of the same stuff.

I think I have seen somewhere in a picture that someone had run theirs across the radiator if I can figure that out I recon that would be the way to go.

you'd need to get a custom one made up to do that.
custom throttle cables cost $100-150

we use ea-ed manual throttle cables and ea throttle body for the e-series , when fitted correctly there is no issue with melting the cable

we have the bracket to suit this combination , however if you have later model throttle body you may have to make a bracket to suit

here are some pictures of the plenum fitted

Mr Snort

Indeed you are correct, I do like that concept a lot, finding WTA is working VERY well with our product.

1. Is the product preassembled ready to bolt directly the the cylinder head?

2. Could you PM me a price on that WTA plenum for EF - EL and also AU if you have it for them as well?
3.Is the product pretty much in stock and ready to ship?

Thanks heaps

Hey mate thanks for the info I did send you and email about it.

In that ED picture where does the cable run I cant seem to see it? That is the setup that I am after so the cable doesn't run across the rocker cover

Tim we have production cast moulds for these liquid plenums they suit all models from ea-current fg falcon

these feature 140x550x65mm core ( inside plenum ) and can be also supplied with 3 inch version if required

we are still working through the last stages of setting up production ( larger scale ) to reduce the overall cost but currently we build them to order although most parts are on the shelf we need to send the parts out atm for milling and polishing ect which can take 2 weeks

we could fabricate a custom lid to suit raptor superchargers systems , we also have billet versions also under way for the bling factor :)

pm your contact details and i will give you a call to discuss the options ;)

i will get some pics of the bracket and cable for you, the one pictured here is custom made to run around the front/back of the engine which the customer supplied himself for the cleaner look
