If I can put a BA motor into it Im sure I can manage putting the stock motor back in later on.

WGAF what the car started out as anyway, its just an EA. 150rwkw was all it was going to make and be "legal". Thats not enough to keep me interested.

Man you think they'd be able to modify the BA sump, why not?

depends if theres a reason for that bump.
i'd take the sump off and have a look whats behind it.
if its free space then you may be able to modify it, but who knows whats there.

Isn't the oil pump different in the BA motor to EA-AU? Maybe that's what's behind the hump...

it has no aux shaft.

there are photos of a BA motor with the sump off, the oil pump pickup is behind the hump that was being talked about.

Still not 100% sure, depends if I want to run dual VCT or not.

If I do, I need an autronic/motec/possibly a wolf V500, if not then anything with 6 ignition outputs will run it.

Im keen to run the DVCT, its there so I may as well use it.

would it be possible to use the standard wiring loom, ecu, dash etc.? would be a massive job, but well worth it!
