I have a Davies Craig booster pump and an old A/C condensor to use as the radiator, I will have a custom reservior made to fit somewhere compact like under boot floor maybe.
Capa have some nice units but seems very expensive. Anyone know any reasonably priced outlets in Australia?? Or Egay maybe. Any experiences people have had or estimated costs involved would be helpfull. Cheers. |

Run two air con condenser coolers cut down to fit in box..
Then run water through both coolers...

I have some cores that I was going to use in a water to air intercooler application - I could get some pics for you for dimensions if you like.

Then run water through both coolers... wtf? he's trying to cool air, not the water!

Yea dummy he's running water to air RIGHT? Run cold water through them.... Like I said put these in box or big tube with tanks either side.... Think about it.... The tank and pump can be fitted in boot or over rear wheels...Via radiator to heat exchanger to intercooler & back to tank... Most of these kits the i/c is fitted under dash.... Similar to this... Or buy one of these...Not too sure about flow though? Check thse guys if you don't want to fab your own... http://www.pwr-performance.com/intercooler.htm You'll find fabricators in this field are expensive..

Cheers, Steve Sounds good, I need something that will support around 1200HP. Thanks. |

Water to air intercooler - that's what he's trying to run is he not ? Google wwater (liquid) to air intercoolers Phil ltd - will get some measuremets for you...dunno how suited they are for 1200 hp...that's a lot of grunt...I'm told they're suited for VG30 application (size wise)...will still find out for you though. |

that doesnt sound ideal... that would mean that the water would heat up eventually and become less effective would it not???
never really looked into water-air IC's celicas sometimes had them... try these guyz http://www.are.com.au/feat/techt/airwaterinter.htm |

Subaru Liberty run water to air coolers.Vortech have them too $$$ though...Good for drags but NOT the best for long distance crusing...I'd rather use good intercooler a/a with water/ methonol mix injection...
For drags using dry ice is much easier more efficiant, but you need to make box with fine tubes for engine ..This stuff is bloody cold and there is NO liquide state, its either solid or gas...C02....
