As the title suggest's what plugs are you guys running on your turbo I6's? im running these champion one's (Yeah i know champion sucks but i got them for nothing) and i think there breaking down under boost. I get a couple of boot fulls out of the car and then she runs ruff as guts. Coffs and splutters and so on.
Im on 10psi and running a 55hp nitrous shot, although i won't be running nitrous all the time, and haven't used it yet. Cheers in advance. Oh yeah its an EB.

Check the gap on the plugs you have firstly, they may just be too wide, i know the xr6 turbos are much smaller gaps then the NAs. BAs use denso iridiums, but i put in NGK iridiums.. You can get good champion plugs, but they're race series and usually direct order from the US..
Get a set of feeler gauges and check where they're at now, probably mid to high 20's, try them at about 22 and see how you go, it could also be that your running too rich, so the plugs go black after a hard run and they are hard to fire after that, in which case, clean them and adjust your driving style until you get a tune.. Don't stomp it and wait for the car to catch up, feed the power in and keep it burning clean.. Hope this helps

I'd be using LPG NGK plugs in all honesty, you will need a colder plug with 10psi .

yeah the heat range for the plugs i have in her are a little hot. Ive tried some old cooler plugs i had lying around BPR7ES NGK and it seems to be a bit better. Although it still has not gotten rid of the miss fire. Everythings new on the motor so i dont know why i would be getting a miss fire with both types of plugs.

With that MSD it should be fine!!!
Extended tip like XR6 plugs don't work that well...Yes gas style plugs with there shorter electrode runs cooler.. Depending on compression ?? One or two colder is all you need... I have one colder with 7.8 compression... If I go colder I can faul the odd plug... Gap them down to .030 ... Whats your intake temps ??? AFR's where they should be ??? Spark breakdown can be detonation!! That's bad!!!

Cheers mate. Im not sure on the intake temp, AFR is pretty much Smack bang in the middle of rich and lean maybe a bit towards the rich side on full throttle and a little lean on cruising but she runs no boost cruising around. but i only have a A/F gauge to go off so im not exactly sure. Whats a good intake temp? im gona try the BCP8es or 9es as aparently they handle boost better than the BPR range of plugs. When i get them in ill gap them to what you suggest and see how we go.

I run one stage cooler in my AU, which is also arond 10psi. I've used Bosch R6, and currently use BCPR6ES. Both sets were gapped at 0.8mm, and have worked fine.

i use xr6 plugs gapped to .76mm, they seem to be fine on 17.5 psi.
imo you dont need to go any colder than a 7 heat range plug.

what roughlyshould they be gapped to for a turbo setup no engine is going to be the same. when my car was on 12psi a 0.90mm gap was fine, but it had a bad miss with anything more than 15psi.

Quick update:
p****d off the MSD blaster 2 coil and fitted the standard Bosch unit again, still running the msd controller though. Tried some old bpr7es plugs out of one of my bikes, gapped them at 0.8. (after some tryles) did extensive testing of all my sensors and found that the MAP sensor was getting some frequancy interuptions. Did a few other things and it seems to have some what fixed the issue and the idles good. There still is a slight miss when you rev her up in neutral, but ill see how she goes tomorrow. Oh and im fitting the CMS stage 2 turbo grinde cam to see how she revs/fuels then
