Excuse my ignorance on this but does the Kit meet EPA requirements or will it require an individual emmision test and / or an engineers report?

If they're 100% complete kits (piping (s/c to t/b), oil feeds, misc bolts and fittings etc) then this is a VERY attractive proposition.
The Vortech unit will provite a lot more expandability.
Whats the go with things like intercooling/water injection.
the vortech kits from capa require water injection standard, so is this considered or is it along the lines of the turbo setups where charge cooling and piping is a seperate issue?

You thinking of getting some belt driven boost John? :P

Lots of responses guys so i'll go through one by one as best as i can.

#1. Molloy, i have no idea yet as to when the deal will be sealed but putting it this way if everyone goes for it and doesn't just tyre kick then i'll allow you to save all your pennies.

#2. Steady Ed, very true i'm hoping it's going to be this one but jeoff is still in talks with the man up top and yes it will require oil lines/fittings. Powerdyne has this advantage over the vortec but hey who cares.

#3. Gunit18, the kit is supplied to suit the 302 propelled mustang so before i can say yes i'm to fit one to our 302. I'm almost certain that jeoff will work something out for this even if it doesn't fit.

#4. EL XR8, I have no idea how snort manages to pull these types of deals off. As you say it's probably going to cost him $3K for the blower itself and then he has to make up all the other gear with the reamaining 1400. I get the feeling he just gets a kick out of doing it.

#5. EF Falcon, the water injection setup that cappa uses looked unsatisfactory. Jeoff will come up with a few options in this field, either water to air, charge air or straight in with a perfectly attomised water spray. Not sure on what is on offer yet but you will have to pay a little extra for the water to air setup. His pricing is so dirt cheap though so don't pannic.

#6. Stockstandard, yeah they are loud but you can always option up to the SQ silent drive system for an extra wad of cash, something like a thousand dollars extra for the hellical cut gear drive. I don't mind the sound of the straight cutters, it keeps you happy in between the sound of the rear tyres screaming and driving sedately.

#7. Twason, buddy i have no idea about epa but i'm assuming it won't be impossible if you attain your factory ecu and keep it to a sane 6-9psi. It's only when you step up to afermarket injection that it becomes near impossible.

#8. All depends on what your after, send me a pm and i'll see what i can do for you. Remember i'm not totally sure of the exact kit as yet because snortperformance always trys to get the very best for the very least.

yeh, at 4300 it would be near impossible to pass this offer up :D specially when capa ask 8k for a vortech kit.

i think everyone thinking bout the capa group buy might be waiting to see where this goes first ;)

i would have to check insurance and engineering here before i comit to anything tho

Yeah it works just like a turbo charger except driven by the crank instead of exhaust gases. The kit will come with a blow-off valve and it will run the same as a turbo on a gas setup. I'm interested to see what my options are for supercharging on gas. There is that direct injection kit available now but the manufacturers beleive it's only good for sequential injection and not grouped. They say this but haven't actually tested it out yet. My only other option is to go for the gas research carb but i'd much rather direct injection.

I'm *VERY* interested if this will suit EB 302w :D

I could bolt on my AFR185's and the blower and forget about the stroker... for a few months ;)

EF monty, the smu is basically just a rising rate regulator, when boost goes up so does the base fuel pressure. GRN WGN, the bov will let off a hell of a whoosh when changing gears and a very slight one whilst idling. Even when at light cruise and just backing off slightly the bov will open right up. As far as time frames are concerned i'm not totally sure but i will allow all of those interested plenty of time to finance themselves. Snortperformance is still modifying things to suit the vortec blower anyhow, so there will still be a bit of time before they get that part of it right.
