Did a quick google and a search here but didn't really find any answers. Is it normal for a totally stock XR6T to flutter when you close the throttle? I'm not getting a "fully sick tututu" but there's definately some flutter there. So I guess my question is, having never owned a turbocharged car before, is it in normal?

There should be a little bit, but not huge amounts at 'normal' driving style.

Has it been modded in any way?

Pretty much sums it up for me, as it really is only a little bit.

As far as I can tell, it's bog stock.

they have a little flutter. but if it is louder ill put both my testicals that your turbo manifold has come loose 4 studs that hold the turbo onto the exhaust manifold. super common problem and you will find the dose/ flutter will become louder because of this.

If it gets louder I'll definitely check it out, but at the moment, it's pretty subdued, sounds quite nice actually

the only down side to the dose pipe is that the air filter is right in amongst the engine, haha nice hot air! ehh thats what the intercoolers there for! And the noise does attract ALOT of attention 8-)

crappy problem i have atm.. sounds like a bad exhaust gas leak when on boost.. had fixed it before and have come un-done again.. ps.. my stock flutter is pretty loud too! but i have opened up the standard airbox with a 2 inch tall by 10 inch wide cold air intake hole in the fron of the box.. then chopped the neck out and fitted a massive neck that came with the ss inductions snorkel..

doeif you want more flutter (also know as dosing) you need to get rid of the BOV and put on a dose pipe. like this!
