My mate knows the old guy who did the build, apparently it was one of the best custom builds the guy from chipmaster did, it's making/was making 270rwhp in 2005. very unique setup and tune. The build is about 6 years old. It's not a sc14 the charger has the tuners initials in the case. The charger has different internal and stuff apparently and it has been cammed. This thing is chirping second with fresh tread in the dry with kickdown at 80km/h with 235's , it's a really interesting car, don't think this setup has been done before,or atleast it is not common

Great car at a awsome price, very good buy dude

Is it worth upgrading to a raptor or vortech kit and sell this setup off???

The heat soak from the exhaust alone would be enough to kill the power gains from any boost.

Yeh heat soak would be robbing abit of power for sure and yeh a raptor would be heaps better on this bad boy.

Time for an upgrade and sell this kit off, how much u think its worth???

cheers.

so its an SC14 then. still from what i have heard, they just dont supply adequate enough boost for the 4L block.

put it this way. so far haha (irresponsible i know)

i have beaten a WRX, a R33 GT-S

destroyed stock falcons and commies and a BA XR6 and A FG XR6

A VY SS UTE off the line and on the run.

and today it pulled away from a 5.7hemi 300c haha.

so i dont know either the rumours about the charger are wrong. or i have something very different going on here.

and yeah pretty much everyday of going out for a drive some idiot trys to race me.

(its loud and lumpy and mixed with the old weee sound) attracts just about every hero racer :|

well in 2005 the entire kit was $3500. have the receipts etc.

so who knows what its worth now.

need to take it down to a dyno and hopefully get some advice on wether its worth upgrading the pulley system, or ditching the charger in general.

its nice to have something where all the ground work is already done.

can anyone recommend a good tuner North of the river in perth??

What about BPT Motorsport. I bought my Sniper tuning software from him.

yeah i was thinking BPT.

they have there shop over in malaga or something dont they, saw it once while i was out doing deliveries.

Latest update. driving home last night through warwick, lost power steering, water pump, alternator.

every warning light in the world beeping me in the face. put it this way, its not easy to try turn a 1600kg car with no power steering.

anyway, made it home. just. coolant overflow tank went ballistic. lost a bit of coolant. turns out the serpentine belt fell off the water pump.

that was alot of fun putting that back on this morning. imagine your serpentine belt, only bigger, tighter and more confusing.

note: 3/8 ratchet drive on the belt tensioner, plus a long pole for some leveridge. and its actually a pretty easy job. didnt even need to fix the tensioner in place. just held the pole with one hand and re routed the belt back around, which was (&*^#&$^@&%^%#^@#% fun
