I dont know what drugs u have been smoking moody but there is no way in HELL one would beat a WRX to 80km/h unless the rexy didnt relies they were racing and didnt take off hard.

Have a look at the specs, they aint that quick stock for been supercharged, and for torque they aint that flash hot either considering the old EBII/ED XR6's used to have 366Nm@3,650rpm so they had just 10kw less and 9Nm N/A pretty good if u ask me

Im telling you guys, no ifs or buts

the Supercharged V6 will absolutely bolt away off the line. To 60km/h the best you will ever do is hold by a thin thread to their back bumper. Its just a pity these cars dont have the top end power to match their greyhound like take off.

All of the magazines quoted them at 7.1secs 0-100km/h and a 15.1 0-400m. trust me its not because of their top end, its their greyhound takeoff that keeps them pulling those times. After about 100km/h theres not much left.

But at the traffic lights grand prix, you will be toast.

Your V8 must of been rooted becuause i have raced 3 supercharged VT's (2 calais's and an S). All 3 times neck an neck untill about 90 then i started to pull away, except for the S which we were neck an neck untill 110k then i started to pull away.

its more likely the supercharged 6s you raced had too much wheelspin off the line.

My brother owns one, just a k&N filter in it and you boot it off the line it will wheelspin all first gear. It would toast my XR6T until boost comes on

For some reason i dont think you brother is telling the truth about just a K&N air filter. They were spinning off the line but no more then what i was. Mine spins too 50k's then the speedo drops to about 45k's then launchs again.

LOLz have you nuffed your motor or something? the boost comes on for ya at 2k. how long does that take to get to???

If you cant beat a VT sc6 with an xr turbo then something is drastically wrong. Ive driven dads mk2 manual turbo no mods and it goes more than a lot harder than my next door neighbours unmodded sc6. Period.

Maybe you should swap cars with your brother and see exactly by how much more he beats you.

Hi all,

Im thinking of getting a VT calais supercharged, but i'd like to know if there actually any good...anyone driven one? but iv'e also been looking at an el XR8 and supercharging that but fuel would be a b**ch. How do you all recon they'd go head to head(stock vs stock XR without s/charge) and around the track? cheers all

also q/mile times would be great or 0-100

for a start...........power wise, dont ask me how but my manual 4.0 reels em in real quick and go's past em, up to vy's s/charged...but on the luxury side, well sure its a nice car...and ,mate I'm being nice WE ALL HATE CRAPODOORS!! *LOL*

You guys have your heads stuck up your tailpipes too far. theres no way in hell a falc would chop one, unless the calais was stock. which runs a 15.39 (mates figures here) with his intake, he did 14.9, exhaust, 3" cat back, 14.6, 10psi boost pulley, 14.14.
with stock 60" of 2.1, why is that so ubelievable?
Gezza, wheres your timeslip? theres no way your auto will smoke a supercharghed commo auto.

Xr6Tcitric knows whats goin on, same with teh guy wth the 14,4 falcon or what ever it is, sorry, cant remember name, on edit page :o.
I had a roll on in mine with his calais, before he got his s/c s pac, and with only a cat back and boost p[ulely from 60-120ish, there wasnt much in it, its there torque that makes the turbos piss. and chomps the ls1's off the line.
