A few of those in the know will be aware that for a few years I have been toying with the idea of a supercharger install on my EF 4.0 Fairmont.
The idea started out with using an Eaton M90 with a custom manifold. This progressed well with the manifold being partially fabricated and 2 Mustang M90 Chargers aquired. Front dress was designed and other things investigated. As luck would have it I was offered what was said to be a Whipple Charger an manifold. I purchased this and dropped the Eaton project, still in the shed whith all the bits. I redid the front dress etc and went ahead. Charger is actualy a Lysholm AX1600, 1.6 litre charger. New engine: AU 4.0. 0.040" oversize, full ACL Race bottom end, modified AU sump to suit the EF K frame, Stage 3 CMS Head with a 2a Cam, all new lifters etc. Install has now started and after a few hicups is progressing well, Engine install is being done at CMS and working around their other work as well. Anyway here's a few pic's of the engine on the crane. Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

Thats a nice figure. I gained 60rwkw (230rwkw) when i charged my wagon. 200rwkw in a nice light e series will be nice. Good luck with it all.

Watching with interest!
I love how subtle these whipples look! I don't think you mentioned it but apologies if you have, are you retaining the factory ECU?

Charger is a Lysholm AX1600. Lysholm used to be aligned with Whipple but no longer. Lysholm® is now an AirPower® Group company along with Vortech Engineering, Paxton Automotive and Vortron Industrial. |

Probably best known in Australia as the company that supplied the supercharger for the Miller cycle engine in the Mazda Millenia . |
