As CHEF said, just back the timing off a touch by adjusting the base timing position of the dizzy. It isnt ideal, but it will do the job

Agreed. Better off avoiding detonation at the expense of some low/midrange torque. Cars dont tend to go too hard when pinging their nuts off anyway.

I'd go for something steeper than a 2:1 regulator. I run a 12:1 on mine and she's got 8 of the little buggers injecting fuel....

Yeah, the old dizzy trick works well, better than I expected anyway... I have been to lazy to wire my wolf for ignition but I will do it soon

i thought that the ecu overidded the dizzy if a largish change was made?

hi guys

just curious what people are using on there ford inline 6 cylinder 4 lt engines , im aware other facts will affect the performance of the vehicle so just wanting to know

what turbo brand , size and compressor housing and wheel trims and exhaust housing and wheel trims people are using ??
what RPM ur starting to boost ? to what max RPM ur turning ur engine ?
what boost pressures ur running ?
what horsepower ur producing ? ( dont care whos dyno its run on ?? LOL :wink:
exhaust manifold type ? and the rest of the exhaust system ?
inlet manifold type?
engine compression ratio ??
ECU type ?

and any other information u wanna share ???? :wink:

GT35/40 Garrett turbo..
46mm external wastegate...
Seamless steam pipe exhaust...
EMS 8860, 42Lb injectors...
Walbro 255 intank fuel pump...
Sard adjustable fuel reg set at 45 Lb @ idle....
Stge ll Crow cam...
2500 stall converter...
Engine is TOTALLY std as supplid from wrecker, except cam...
Tuned by Adam at www.justenginemanagment.com.au
Spools as soon as foot isplanted but real power from 2800 rpm...
280 rwkw wih safe tune...
Safe as in 8* total timing at 15 Lb boost wot...

So far 1/4 times 11.56
