Hey,
my turbo is a water and oil cooled turbo, I was told the water is optional and i only must have oil connected ??? but then someone else told me it is not optional and i MUST have water and oil cooling connected up. its a T04E turbo can anyone confirm this for me ? It only runs low boost 6-8psi. If it is a must for water is there any guides on setting up the water lines as all my old turbo's have only been oil cooled so im unsure on how to set this one up. Thanks.

T piece into the 2 lines from your heater pipes.

Its not 100% necessary to use the water cooling, but if you have it, why not use it, plenty of people dont use the water cooling just to reduce the clutter.

I always thought that T04E's were oil cooled and not water cooled. I must be mistaken then.

WE T'd it off the rear pipe on water pump and returned feed to header tank...
I would run them...Oil coacking the centre is an issue... On a V8 you can use the throttle body EGR cooling lines...Or off the rear of inlet manifold...
