hey guys just a quick question i want a very basic turbo setup and im not chasing big power,. how would a t3/t4 go on my engine. i know it would hit boost in the low revs but im not really looking for big power or looking at thrasing the car,

Depends on the exacts specs of the turbo but I had a T3/T4 hybrid on my EA. It boosted before 2000rpm and made 205rwkw on 14psi.

It was very responsive and was always spooling up. The spooling sound drove me nuts when I was trying to drive quietly, it was impossible to drive quiet until I fitted a good restrictive airbox.

A bit of both. It wasnt internal like a normal internally gated turbo ala XR6T but the wastegate still ran off the exhaust housing. It was on the base of the rear housing near the inlet flange and had a seperate pipe for the wastegate gasses and turbine gasses.

i have same turbo(T3/4) in my car at moment im selling the setup soon, its ok for a cheep steup turbo, the internal wastegate on thses are very small meaning it would boost to a certain amount of Psi before it stays stable, i have problems like trying to keep boost down, my one hits no less than 10-11 psi with out a boost tap, so my low boost is 10-11 psi, with 3" cooler piping and 450/300/75 size cooler. go for something like a external wastegate so you can get boost down lower than 10psi, or go and get a T4.....and get more top end than the t3/4 turbo
