A mate replaced his top mount intercooler on his WRX for a front mount after reading about cooling efficiency and power gains. After fitting it the car has lost its some of its sharp response due to throttle lag which he thought was perhaps turbo lag. He didnt exactly realise that adding an additional 6 ft of piping does that to a car. Back on track, I cant wait till people start running 12's and lower over the 1/4 and giving hsv owners the sh*ts! 12sec teritorys will happen... with xr6t's breaking into the 11s on minor mods, the 2000killo teritory should do 12s with similar mods |

obviously you have never done plugs on a ba. they are coil on plug and go in from the top, right under where that intercooler is sitting.

Ah right, yes I've never touched anything on a BA. Well it was an idea, but how would they get around that on the territories then? Would they need to remove the intercooler to change anything like the plugs and that? What I'm trying to get at is that if ford designed and fitted the intercooler they would've encountered the same problem regarding changing plugs and such, so they would've surely designed it so you'd still be able to change them with relative ease.

its not really fords problem. they build them and use parts that they say will last a certain amount of time and by then it would be out of warranty. the ba's use platinum plugs. not sure on turbo's but the book for mine says to change them every 150 000 km's for the six. 105 000 for the 8. thats no typo folks. i did mine at 100 000 when i bought it and you wouldn't want to leave them in much longer than that.

The XR6T is heavy enough without the AWD mechanicals!

might sound like a stupid request but can somone please find a picture of a winter white turbo territory taken 45 deg or so from the front of the car...
and if even that is to hard to find, a pic of white turbo territory taken at any angle seems like all the people who have one have some fancy a** colour |
