Mate that ride is off the charts with how far that bottom end has held up, and power it's made.
congrats man :D

What thickness is you shim between head and block, copper or mild steel. I bought a ACL .8mm steal shim for my AU and was just goin to run 2 AU head gaskets with it?

great results wats the aim for 2 years time for the next show and shine??

Well, hello people.

Its been over a year since I looked at fordmods. Mainly because I stopped working on my car. Got too sick of it, cost me too much money etc.. Had better things to do.

But, there is meant to be the same dyno show again this year, and I need to go there bigger and better.

A rundown on the car since that last outing, I tried getting it going about september I think it was, both fuel pumps were dead because it sat around with E85 in it, fixed the fuel pump problems, and then it was the injectors which were screwed (they were brand new 1600 indy blues) Had them cleaned, worst one was down to 60% flow. After cleaning they worked for 10 mins, then it got a missfire, cleaned them by blowing compressed air through them.. all good for another 10 mins. Essentially they are f**k. I had the dynapack booked back then for a new tuning session, before the injector probs came up. I plan to go back to regular BP ultimate, E85 is a f**k.

So sitting around talking about what to do for this year. Im going to be porting the head properly... as it only has mild cleanup work, no shaping done etc. Im going to be installing a wastegate on the cooler pipe between the cooler and TB, as the current boost control is unsuccessful. I currently have the v-port bov setup as nothing but a big air leak, which absolutely kills the spool up... I had to do it this way on the day of initial tuning otherwise the boost would go well past 22psi (at that time i was making 1000nm at around 4000rpm.

Ill be going back to a set of 1000cc rochesters probably. I dont want to, Im a fan of siemens, but they only do a 83lb injector, which is on the small side for what I want.

Im hoping for 580kw on the dynapack, where I was 530 before. So another 50kw should see me make over 500 on the rollers, provided it can get it all through the tyre.

So, yea, thats whats up.. I still have the car, will never sell it, and im looking to push it harder this time..

Brad

so whats the plan brad? set the 2nd gate to couple of psi higher than the manifold gate?
your not concerned about overspeeding the turbo?
