the smaller the better... I just want extra low down power, so i considered trying to use a positive displacement blower of a 1.8l toyota overdriven at 350% so i could make max boost at about 1800rpm and have heaps of pulling power as i dont usually rev it out over 3500 anyway... only problem was, i couldnt find a blower for less than $200, so i thought id go for a secondhand thrashed out caked ca18det turbo, but its meant to be rebuilt by a guy who has rebuilt heaps of turbos before... i could go twins, but a single should give response from idle to 2200rpm, that way i rekon that my car will beat my bro's friends GenIII which has 260rwkw with a cam and custom exhaust and cold air. My car nearly beat him once before, even before i put on a new air intake tube and used octane booster...

if i go for a 12:1 fuel reg, and use ba turbo injectors, i should run about 200rwkw with a standard head gasket and cam... does anyone know where i can get a used fuel pump from a ef xr6?? ive heard they are meant to flow more, theres one on ebay for $15, should i get that one for now??

then, i realised i was smoking crack, and that a single ca18det was probably not going be cost effective, because it needed the extra water lines...

so i got this hybrid t3/t4 stage 3 off ebay..... should be a HOOT

sorry, ive just been reading these forums waaaay to long

(im sure some of you may find this funny) sarcastic response, to a sarcastic question.... lol

ok, no more crack...

its a gt4202r 1.15 turbine

im hoping it works well with my new exhaust manifold, plenum, 3.5" and water air cooler....

im throwing away the power steering pump to give me a cleaner engine bay and extra turbo room.. and using a electric pump from a mercedes, probably mounted in the boot

haha with the rite combo these motors will go to that.

i plan on taking my new engine to 7k and with a large turbine housing and new cam, it should have over 3500rpm full boost range.

what rpm do u expect this turbo to make full boost at brad? are u going to build another bottom end?

I know of a std rotating assembly making around 380 rwkw with C16 & 20 Lb boost...
Some compressor slight surge at lower rpm....
Nothing to worry about...

yes but u would only have 2200-2500 worth of full boost if tis going to 6000.

imo u don't want any less than 3000rpm worth of full boost. u can make 450rwkw with a 35 or Z with longer boost range.

quick update..

no longer have the 72lb injectors, they have a new owner by the name of dansedgli

ive FINALLY got around to pissing off all the messy ford wiring from the inner guard, ive wanted to do this for a couple of years now.

ive started the new gt42 manifold, hoping to get this done before next week, then start the rest of the work on my new plenum, and then join the two up... and then comes the exhaust, wastegate, liquid plumbing, oil drain and all the rest of the associated crap... this thing has to be finished before last week of september so im under the pump at the minute...

just a photo to show the max height i can mount the turbo at toward the front of the engine
