hay ebs_4l does the "overall fuel mult" effect the duty cycle in the ecu????

im running full sequential to, u wouldent belive how much difret it makes to the sound of the car, it has a real deep smooth note, compared to when i had the eec in.

the overall fuel mult is just used to scale the fuel map numbers down to a 0-200 range.

in what way are you asking does it effect the duty cycle?? you mean, if you change the number, will it alter the injector time?? answer, yes

example, i will have to change the overall mult number to suit my 766cc injectors, since they are from the same manufacturer, and should have the same electrical characteristics, a simple multiplier number change should have things still tuned the way they were with 580s

Yeah wolf call it injector scaling, its an easy way to swing the map up or down if its reaching 100% befor it should, but if you do the sums right you should get the scale correct, which no doupt you have done.

technically, they are not 580cc, they are 577cc (55lb) just thought id mention that before someone pointed it out...

they are 3102's, youll find 3102 in the software

ur engine sould be fine i recon, its farly similer to TUFED6(460rwkw). i recon u should be able to make 400rwkw on around 18psi. i would go for that

lol, yep, you would, but not this little black sheep..!!!!

ill call it quits at 350-360kw, lol, MAYBE!!

damn it, its all too friggin' tempting, it does ya head in just thinking about it...

my only concern is my head gaskets, surely they wont hold up to that much cylinder pressure.... one day i will assemble a DECENT bottom end for it and pump 23-25psi into it, and make some hardcore HP.

i know it seems silly to possibly break something you spent sooo much time and money on, but at the end of the day, the thing that pushes you to do it IS the fact that you spent all that time/money, and want to see it perform at its full potential, get as much out of it as you can

Cool - looking forward to seeing how it ends up. I'm interested to know when the GT35/40R starts spooling. I'm considering my options for turboing my EL XR6.

mine makes 15psi at 2700rpm, and about 10 psi at 2300, makes positive pressure from 1800

Great, that's exactly what I was hoping. Those turbos are fantastic from what I have seen (once you can get the boost level correct that is).

Nice custom manifold btw - modifying the turbine housing def seemed like the best option. The rest of the story is told by the dyno graph!

well, today i tuned my car myself with my new 72lb siemens... im EXTREMELY happy with it, i have got a sensible a/f ratio now, instead of majorly rich i tuned it at 11:1. i put half a degree of timing here and there, and upto 1 degree of timing in other places..

all sweet now, it used to be a little bit rough, like had slight hesistations when running 15psi.. now it pulls really smooth, and drives nicer.. the roughness of the tune can be seen in my dyno graph..

bring on the local show and shine sept30, im going back on the rolles there.

BTW, t5 is still going strong... LOL.. seriously...

It all sounds like its going well now, good stuff.
Its strange the T5 hasn't broken, maybe you have a uncannily strong one, or maybe you are looking after it more then other people do. Is it just a straight T5? or one of those T5Z boxes?

uncanilly strong... lol...

last year i removed the 1-2 synchro hub from the mainshaft, as i wanted to get a new one since mine was damaged..

i called a gearbox place, they said, tell me you havent removed that hub?? im like no, they said, good, cos if you remove that the you need a new $1200 mainshaft, that part if hydrogen brazed on... and no removable... so i went home that night and pressed it back on with some loctite bearing retainer.. hasnt caused any dramas since
