Turbo Systems Australia turbo kits.
Anyone running one or knows of anyone that is? Just want to know if it's any good and how much power to expect. I know it's only 5psi but aparrently the kits are like CAPA supercharger kits... every last zip tie included. Link ~ http://www.gasresearchpc.com.au/html/turbo_specifications.html Cheers

Overpriced in comparison to other kits.
Small turbo which is not really good for upgrades. Get a snort kit or make up your own. |

I've been seriously considering the snort or build my own route but tuning is where i'm a little worried, I basically want to be able to have my car off the road for a day or so then back on with no hassles... a complete kit with a preprogrammed chip etc is the only way i can see this happening. All i'd really have to wory about then is getting it engineered. Would there be much stopping me from getting a better turbo later?
Does anyone know of any other complete turbo kits out here? Cheers

The kits are a good starting point IMHO...bit expensive by comparison - but it really is a complete kit as you said...especially in comparison to the snort packages.

I agree. Little on the expensive side but does come with everything (Ive heard its engineered as well). Buying the kit gets you everything which you can upgrade piece by piece when you want more power.
Ive got the installation instructions here somewhere if your interested.

They are not engineered.
AU Steve had one on his AU. It only ran 5psi and had troubles with pinging in the warmer weather. He had a stage 2 kit an intercooler as well. Made 178rwkw on 5psi. It was damn responsive but nearly cost him $10K. |

I had their white AU1 Forté for a weekend...was close on flawless...but I'm sure it spent a good 30 hours or so on the dyno for them to make it perfect and use it as a testimony to their kit.
Dan - did Steve's have the water injection ? |

It did, Im not sure how often he used it though.
It would ping on 6-7 psi in warmer weather. He would take out his grill to help get airflow to his cooler which helped. He ended up trading the car in for really cheap. It was for sale on the forums for $5K before he traded it I think. |

stockstanderd, can you please pm me the install instructions? It might be an informative read.
I'm definitely worried about pinging... I live in northern NSW and we regularly see warm humid days. Food for thought i guess. I'm just interested in a basic kit as a building block to eventually build a quick car. 160-180rwkw and i'd definitely be happy. Thanks heaps for the input fellas.

I know you don't want to BUT you are far better off getting a stand alone ecu that reads boost...
An EMS Stinger can be bought for under $1000..IMO get the Sort kit and get an ECU with 30 to 60 Lb injectors... Take a fortnights annual leave as it will be off road for approx a week... Then fit a Walbro 255 intank pump...Ford's six's don't require expensive high tech ecu's..

Thanks heaps fellas,
I'm thinking about getting a snort kit, intercooling it runing bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump and a piggyback ecu. I'll just save up more and do it right and reliably the first time. In the end I don't think it'll end up costing too much more than the TSA kit. I'll let you all know how i go. Cheers, Rob
