depends on how rooted it is, but its common for a rebuild to cost 900ish for jap turbos

Is that if you do it yourself? thats bloody expensive considering you can get new (cheap quality) turbos on ebay for $250

Nah, from a turbo shop... DIY turbo rebuilds are not for the backyarders... and 250 doesnt buy a turbo dude, it buys junk

whats involved in re-building a turbo? I have access to a workshop and my tools are fairly extensive

workhorse wake up in zoom mag used 2 turbos off a 300zx(so turbos are the same becoz they came off same motor)

No they used two VG20 turbo's off a bluebird or maxima and then changed them with two RB20det turbos
