does anyone know what is factory boost on the ba bf xr6 turbos are and if so is their away to increse factory boost from the factory turbo without upgrading turbochargers?

i think they run 6 psi, to increase it ycan fit a actuator which is rated for more boost, or use a manual boost tee or electronic boost controller, or you can go external waste gate.

5.5psi. You NEED a tune to increase boost, or it WILL go bang.

i assume you can get a fair bit out of the xr6 turbos. What potential can u get out of these beasts in their standard forms without going to the point stuff is going to go bang

Wrong. This is completely dependent on BA/F and BF2. Also T5Z, T56, BTR or ZF. 300rwkw for a BA/F with a T56 or ZF, 250rwkw for a BTR and not much more than stock for a T5. Post 06/06 BF's are good for 400rwkw.

I believe they ran 6psi which bled back to 4psi. Those were the numbers published in some enthusiast magazines (such as zoom/boost) back in the days when the cappa boost box was being developed for the BA mkI xr6 turbo's.
