Plus the studs don't line up. I heard that you can get adapters so you can use a DOHC manifold on a SOHC six, but you'd be better off getting a manifold made up to suit a round ported SOHC head.

In the grand scheme of a turbo conversion it's not like they are overly expensive (unless going custom tuned length)

I've seen a couple of reasonably new log type manifolds to suit SOHC sixes go on ebay for a couple of hundred bucks. They come along every now and then, so just keep your eyes peeled.
