well i got a j3 tuned according to my 42lb injectors and it gets to about 6-7 nicely and then about 8-9psi its like it dies out boost gauge will drop abit and then come back alive, now i know factory computer has 10psi cut but according to my boost gauge im getting 8-9psi.ive searched similar problems checked wastegate lines etc but cant come to a conclusion.and also my timing is standard i havnt retarted it.

Boost cut is around 10, not all gauges read the same and will vary depending were you get the pressure source from. Can you turn the boost down a tad or fit a bleed valve or bypass setup. Could also be a rich missfire.

ive tried fitting a boost controller turning the boost own all the way i dont know if i have it setup all right but.
how im doing it is the bottom refrence from the wastegate straight on the intake manifold and then the top fitting onto boost controller then another vacuum from the intake manifold. Could 2 range colder spark plugs gapped to 0.8mm do this, this cut comes about 4-4.5rpm so i cant redline

Get a Fuel Cut Defeater and leave the spring alone.

Dont believe the boost gauge... I had my old 180sx tuned by Dr drift to 20psi and when I fitted a boost gauge (speco btw) it only read 15psi. (Dyno print out showed 20psi)

Should have wastegate lower port going to inlet manifold with the boost tee in-between and top port just vents to atmosphere, you can put a hose on it and point it downwards so no water or dirt gets into the upper chamber of your wastegate and damages the diaphragm..

since then ive changed most things mate, realized aftermarket ecu was the best way to go,havent started on it yet its been sitting for a while, but i figured the top port vents so i took the boost controller off and the bottom port of the gate went to the inlet manifold il get the tuner to put the boost tap on when its getting tuned
