Yes auto is much the same.. In fact the auto itself is MUCH stronger than the manual T5..
I know your asking about the engine itself.. One engine we used was from an E.L / H.X ute with earlier manifold from E.D..

Buy or check wiring on your model of car and connect
wires as per Ecu's spec... The wire are genetically spliced just before the std EEC... So you know what circuit it is by colour of wire plus pin in std EEC...

I dont think so . Pretty sure the cross flow heads would have different ports and bolts may not line up . Wouldn't be hard to make it fit

no wont fit directly... port spacing is the same but bolt pattern is different...
