that looks awesome :)

but it may be a tad too far forward on the flange.. it may have issues of the intake pipe fouling on the power steering (depending on what size intake you have... 3" should be safe)

As the engine is in my 4WD, i needed a bit more space behind for the dump pipe, and wastegate. Yes, a 3 inch will (should) clear the power steering pump, just have to cut the back off the plastic cover, though i may make one in aluminium, to go with the intake.

Trial fitted it this morning, and though it's sits a bit higher than i calculated, it should looks the goods if nothing else. Besides, i have a bit of clearance under the bonnet, so will make getting past the power steering pump even easier.

Cheers

Plus giving the dump pipe a nice smooth exit curve to the cat.

How well did the NA motor pull the maverick along?

Was it much better than the tb42?

Those almost straight curves would certainly decrease lag & increase spooling faster. having interrupted albow bends wont help much. but it looks like you're ahead by moving the flange forward.

Hey,

Yes Dan, it is heaps better than the tb42, and the economy is better, even while running a bit rich from the fuel pump pressure, which has been sorted now. Doesnt have any trouble pulling a 8X5 trailer full of camping gear up most hills.

Manifold is finished except for the cleaning, would've done it this arvo, but I'd had enough for the day.

If someone could tell me what the fitting in the top of the gate is for, i'd appreciate it. I suspect it's for remote boost feedback, or something like that.

Cheers
