Looking at doing a project car over the next 4 years, most likely an I6 Falcon, EA-EL or AU Fairlane, I'm wondering, what would be the best one to go with? What offers the best "Bang per buck"?

Thanks much.

Wait 4 years and a BA XR6 Turbo will be the same price as an E series today.

My mate picked a BA XR6T up for 13k the other week. In 4 years time they will be the new VN commodore.

personally i would prefer a turbo car..
but im my opinion bang for buck a supercharger kit has its bonuses aswell..
im running a raptor supercharger kit, the original reason i did this is the simplicity of being able to remove the kit and return the car to std without any reall modifications and use the kit on another car...
the kit comes with everything!! including the charger, pulleys, bracket, belt, injectors, chip, tune ect..
where as with snort turbo kits the exhaust needs to be modified to suit, injectors and tune will still need to be sorted..

its really a matter of personal preference and how much money your willing to spend..
there are a few threads on turbo vs supercharger..
the debate can go on forever!!..

When you get beaten by a turbo falcon you can pull up at the next lights and challenge them to a return your car to standard race. That will show them.

I think what troyman is getting at is how quickly the kit goes on and comes off, now to me i couldnt give a rats how long it takes to pull s**t off right... but ur average joe that wants some power and the ablility to take it on/off if he chooses to is there.

Personaly i loved my raptor and i love my turbo, from seat of the pants my turbo has more low down torque, now on a six cyl its def cheaper to get a snort kit used but like troyman said the raptor kit comes with EVERYTHING you need so a buyer may look at that as a big plus.

Centri blowen cars aint slow either just look at shnoods for example 13.2 odd with a vortech, either way the op goes he will be happy.

Hey troyman didnt your raptor charged 6cyl wheel spin on joes conservative dyno?

Again like i said either turbo or centri hes going to be happy with the extra power i just wish snort did a cheap 5l turbo kit. hint hint

Is there a specific E series model that Superchargers/Turbos are best for? I've seen some really cheap EB Falcons for a project car? Also, holy jeebus lots of replies, thanks guys.
