Have a search through the forums mate. Ebay is the only place to buy cheap parts. But its then up to you to decipher the cheap knockoffs from genuine bargains. lol

I have to replace the bearing bush in my old turbo, then sell it off. I will have a manifold also soon, depends how quick you intend on getting bits. The manifold will be stainless steel, and it will be going on ebay, unless i get a reasonable offer on forum...

Cheers

Daz

My son is considering selling the whole engine, T04z turbo, exh manifold, injectors
soon if $$ is right.. Not much more than going $$ for T04z..
He's fitting a race only motor, combination..

Its not happening unless you get a monster performance kit from china. My brother has one of those kits and the T04E that came with it actually made less power than the standard T3 turbocharger.

I think you've under quoted your miscellaneous fittings by a few hundred dollars. For a start I am yet to see a dump pipe for under 100 bucks.

For 1500 bucks he will have nothing but a few boxes of parts.

I had a complete kit for sale for $2200 but I ended up selling it alot cheaper than that, no s**t quality parts either.

Just keep a eye out for second hand quality parts and you should be able to get away with it pretty cheaply.

Okay then, so we'll budget $2k. All new parts, am I missing anything else then?

Lots.

Take a turbo into a pirtek and ask for fittings and hoses and you will get a huge surprise.

I paid $350ish for all the fittings and hoses for the maverick. 3 adapters on the turbo to fit another 3 fittings that hoses could easily adapt to. The braided line for the turbo with fittings on each end, 2 brass T pieces for water lines, 2 adapters to shrink the heater pipe T pieces to the same size as the turbo hoses, hi temp silicon hose for water and oil drain to resist melting near anything hot, sump fitting, the fitting that bolted to the bottom of the turbo to attach a drain pipe to.

I paid $250 for my dump pipe and thought it was cheap. It was too hard for me to do at home and I like to give everything a crack.

How much are you paying a pro with a tig to weld up your cheap ebay cooler piping kit?

Mild steel bends are between $20 and $40 each from an exhaust shop and you need quite a few for an E series. Throw in a few silicon bends and straight hoses where pipes meet and bends dont fit and you easy pay over $200 for piping. Thats if you can weld at home.

Whats an exhaust manifold gasket worth for a falcon these days? The maverick one was $80!

Fittings for an 044 pump are like $40 on their own too.

lol at going to all the effort and using a $300 turbo that might last. A better turbo will be at least $1000. Masterpower or bushed garrett if on a budget.

Run an oil cooled only turbo? Save on a few bits n pieces there.....
Granted if you cant weld the piping yourself you'll have to pay someone to do it, or use silicone joiners with t clamps.
All the bends you need are included in the ebay kit...
You can buy a full top end gasket kit for $80 for e series...

Point was you can buy all new gear for nowhere near as many $$ as everyone says.

yer seriously cost me 19 dollars for all three gaskets acl.
inlet manifold is the 38 dollar pocket killer

ive been pricing exhausts 900 for mild steel 3" turbo exhaust installed
1500 for stainless
plus your choice of cat 150 -500
i would be trying to get a second hand exhaust and install it myself
although my n/a exhaust and extractors cost same as 3" mild setup.
