Yeah ok, I've been driving it on short trips, but I still have to wire up the waste gate solinoid and a second boost sensor ( finaly got one from ford the other day ). Need these bits done and decided that i would use the control from the PCM instead of an after market boost controler. The tuner that i chose also felt that a better result would be achieved using the factor PCM control. So hopefully in a week or so it will have been tuned. I'll let you know how it goes. Also need to sort out the tacho. Had a few ideas, but have not had time to try them yet.

It goes on the dyno today, so hopefully i'll have some good news by tonight.
Tryed a few thinks with the tacho, but still no good results. Have you had any luck with the tac? Also did you use a BA or a BF alternator ? |

"i used an AU alt"
I thought you would say something like that. Having a small issue with feed back on the BF one. "Autometer do a converter for the tacho" Thanks i'll look into autometer And the dyno was not so good. Won't go into it but we did one crappy power run just to say we achieved some sort of figure for the day. At a very slow boost ramp up relying only on waste gate spring pressure to keep it closed and very ritch ( around 10.0 AFR ) and 4500 rpm it did 230KW. So very happy with the potential, but still a lot to sort out. Goes back in tomorrow, so well see what happens. |

Hi,
nice work getting it running. is it the standard B series ECU flashed to run standalone? i guess it would be easier to fiddle with been in a car with none of the fruit... no cruise control or any other funny gadgets. and been manual ya dont have the headache of trying to get the auto to run smoothly and not go into limp mode.. proberly the best way to do a conversion.. keep it simple and effecive. good work. Tim.

it's driving, BUT still not fully sorted out yet. Some diff and rear suspension issues, and ECU is still not performing correctly. So nothing good to report as of yet.
