Assuming E /A series then you need to take a look at this thread if you are already near 400rwkw

its a bf iv had the 950kw rated bottom end fitted along with injectors, fuel pumps, intercooler, 3'' pipe work , flash tuner, valve springs, and waste gate mods. iv also thought about getting a to4z instead of gt42r or gt51r.

seeing as you have already spent billions of dollars at some shop to have that gear fitted, you may as well just use whatever they would recommend, after all, they probably know more about this than most forum experts, and your chit sounds expensive.

there is more too it than just "gt42R", its not that simple, I suggest you leave it to whomever built your bottom end, and use what they suggest, after all they have done this stuff before, and have probably tried and tested more units than most people, this isn't the kind of buildup you use everyday forum advice for IMO.

How many KW are you after?

How much boost do you want to run max?

Whats your diff and tranny rated to?

id like to make bout bout 500rwkw but im really just looking for a turbo with external waste gate the std turbo has trouble wasting the boost. so i thought why not upgrade. 20psi would be nice diff and tranny r stock and holding up fairly well . but when they go bang ill have to sort something out i guess. keen to know if anyone has heard of anyone using these sized turbos on 4L and at what rpm they hit full boost .and what spec they r would be great . thanks

There's a few guys in the middle of putting T04Z's on with new exhaust manifold, external gates ect.
You'll get to 500 without too many issues if you have all the supporting gear.
Expect a shop to charge around 5k or so.

Post up the results when done mate, sounds good
