is it possible to turbo charge an EA running the CPI CFI what ever it is (the one that looks like a carbi)

yeah you could do it. but for the extra power it would be worth the change to MPI

technically yes.
how ever it only uses 2 injectors, and would run out of fuel. you'd be best off to convert to a MPFI manifold and use aftermarket ECU.

There is a NL fairlane with the XR6T engine in it. Biggest sleeper.
I would get the MPI engine and turbo it much easier fro the intercooler piping

so it is possibly to change to mpi hmm do you would yous suggest replaceing the head and manifold or would it be better to get a EB engine and chuck her in? is all the wiring there already or would i have install wiring? is ther any FAQ on this site

yes there is a FAQ on it somewhere on the net, go to goole and type in CPI to MPFI conversion, iv done it to my car, not that hard, things to change are, MPFI manifold, Wiring loom, Dizzy, ECU, Fuel pump, Fuel rain and injectors, um a couple of heater and radiator hoses, umm..... think theres is a couple more minor things. cheers

i believe the ea centrepoint injectors are 80lbs... there is no way they will fit into a eb or bbm style manifold as they are not round, next time your at a wrecker pull some out and have a look.. i dont see running 6 of them being a viable option....

also if you dont mind doing it a bit on the dodgy (and very illegal) side you can keep the cpi manifold and bolt a carby onto it. There was one on this site a few weeks back with a 350 holley on a cpi manifold, turbo. Although the fines for removing the pollution gear are massive.

hmmmm tfi module on the dizzy... no injectors.... ecu spastic. unless you used a dizzy from an older falcon provided they fitted (assumes so)
