There is NO way I'd pay $5270 for a GT35/40...

What do you want?
I'd ring www.gcg.com.au
Should have TOP b/b turbo for $1500 to $1800...
A Gt30/40 or GT35/40 is the ducks nuts...Imo...

Yeah, I talked to capa about there turbo prices once and they said that they were not really in to turbos but listed prices and would get them in just so they could offer customers anything in the way of forced induction.

Adelaide Jap dismantelers (http://www.adelaidejap.com.au/) might be about to help supply the turbos depending on what you want.

As far as workshops go, I have had all my machining done at Chris Milton Engine Developments (http://www.miltonengines.com.au/index.htm). They have experience with ford 6's as well.

Bruce Heinrich knows a thing or two about turbo 6's as well. We saw is xr6t pull 414rwkw at the last e-series dyno day. I think a lot of his work is done at Chris Miltons workshop.

On the engine management side of things, Boostin Oz (http://www.boostinoz.com/) can supply and tune EMS systems, havent had any work done there though so dont know how good they are. Bill Towler, Road and Track, and Blackwood Dyno tune are other worthwile options.

Tillbrook (http://www.tilbrook.com.au/) have done some work with turbo ford 6's in the past (didnt they do the "workhorse wakeup" twin turbo?). They seem more interested in imports now that anything that has seen an aussie production line.

Just gave GCG a call. $1850 inc GST for a GT3540R ;)

Im not sure if I can fund a 347 NA V8 build at the same time as a turbo I6 build.. but so, so tempting!

Maybe its just good marketing (brand recognition!) but I always thought Garrett were the leaders in quality and performance. Theyve certainly been around since the start!

They are the most common so I spose thats a good indication. Lots of stock cars and trucks use Garretts of some kind.
Ive had a few varieties of Garrett turbos over the years and have always been good. My T4's kicking along nicely
