As used in VG30T ? Yes they are T3 .63 A.R .. Slightly bigger than std RB30T / VL Commdore turbo... You'll need two on 6 or 8 cyl...

A lot of work to do a twin turbo.....ask urself why so many skyline owners run one turbo??? one bigger turbo is better......but not in all cases, i guess it depends how much power you want. Cheers Daz

ive been told that they are a gt25 and good for 180 kws but i mights just get that one for now then upgrade when i want more power
this is what i got told They are T25's, but they are more similar to the CA18 T25's rather than the early SR ones.

Here are my old VG30T turbo's.. These have been hi flowed with steel turbine wheels.. The lower turbo is an SC61 / t3/4 hybrid 600 h.p..
The lower turbo here is the VG30T compressor side.. From memory I made about 400 rwhp with these..

The following is an extract from Corky Bell's "Maximum Boost"
Quote: An engine with flow capabilities greater than 300cfm (roughly 180cid) can benefit from 2 turbos. Two little turbos can slightly cut lag, as opposed to one large turbo, and allow a better balance of low-speed and top-end performance. Over 350cid, twin turbos become a virtual necessity. Do not accept the idea that twin turbo's are inherently more powerful, as too many other factors are involved.
Hope this helps. Daz

Daz While maximum boost is a great entry level book, that above statement is totally incorrect, with regard to larger engines needing twins, maybe back when he wrote the book, but not these days. |

Maximum boost was written how long ago now? 30 years? Turbo technology has come a loooooong way since then.
Maybe forbs was given info on the turbo's from the VG30DETT which are waaaaaaay too small for a 4L motor that can spin to 5500rpm. |

I agree totally, which is even more reason to consider the bad points of twin turboing. If i was turboing a v8, i would go for twins if i had the room, and a single if i didnt. A lot of factors in choosing the "right" set-up. Cheers Daz
