theres heaps of twin exhausts on falcons...
but most are on V8's ;)

LTDHO has twin 3" up until the Diff, then twin 2.5" over the diff.
both exiting on the one side.

How are these people getting 460rwkw with single 3" exhausts and standard clutchs and gearboxes?

Running them straight under the diff with one big, quality muffler though I'd be thinking a 3.5"-4" for that sort of power. A 1200+rwhp dyno run was put through a T5 in Eddy Tassone's VH. It was pregnant afterwards but it held for the run.

The weak link is still the box housing..It expands under load then the grears let go...TKO or T5/6 is far stronger..

What sort of $$ for those options

"Z" Spec is approx $2250
then next thing that i was aware of is a T56 6 speed for $8,000

There seems to be nothing in the middle

The 5 speed TKO conversion was roughly $5500 when I rang a few months ago.

Also i think you'll find its illegal to run dual exhausts on a car that originally only came out with a single. My mate was looking to run dual 2.5 inch on his maxima but after talking with the rta found out that it was illegal because from factory his car only had 1 pipe.

Just thinking... are you sure it really needs a system of that size? What about better flowing muffler(s) and cat? Ive read some interesting articles showing up the gains and losses between cats and mufflers.
One area that can be a big restriction is the dump pipe and how the wastegate pipe enters it. MAybe you could start off with upping the dump to a 4in... its the build up of air close to the exhaust housing that will slow air flow down, Id try that befor shelling out for a whole new system
