Hey Guys,

I was looking through some old street fors magazines and found a twin turbo EB xr8 in "Budget Builds". The guy was using twin VG30 turbos, bolted them on with standard engine no mods and was getting 237rwkw. He then got it dyno tuned and it jumped to 270rwkw. Now im not an expert but thats getting serious for the standard engine? he said that the issue was fuel pressure (using the standard gear).

He also mounted his up high but the way im going to do it is more lower, he mentioned that down low there was an issue with oil?

Toranaguy - i got the J3 chip, looking at injectors now - how big?

Um who would that be ??? Lol...
Well dont i feel like and idiot... i was talking to some guys at work and mentioned that a guy on fordmods replied to my post and i started to wonder maybe its the guy from the magazine..... uhhhh.

Reading the story was great, is it true with the standard engine the setup was roughly 240rwkw? how long did you have that running for and how reliable was it?

Nath

It run 270 rwkw for ages..
I blew a head gasket and purchased a Dart block from VPW.. Then things became MAY AS WELL !!
The std clutch gave way after 5 years.. Kee[ in mind the VERY nervous T5 was behind it...
May as meant I may as well buy TKO now.. Oh may as well fit twin plate NOW..
Ohh May as well fit bigger injectors NOW!! Oh may as well fit bigger turbo's NOW!!
See what I mean...
Believe it or not the Dart block run 370 rwkw with #5 injector connected to the idle speed control ECU output..
When sorted and tuned properly by Hitman at Race Soutions and new injectors due to #5 being burnt out !! We fitted [may as well!!] 85Lb injectors, two 044 bosch inline pumps..
To make 482 rwkw @ 16 Lb boost. 7.8 compression.... The limit was ignition strength !! Or it could have made more..
The plug gaps ar .022 to keep spark from blowing out!! It already has wasted spark and the strongest Bosch coils on the market..
The 5.0 block is resting in my back shed minus heads and inlet...Oh and water pump..
The water pump wasn't a may as well option !!!
Did I mention a little stroker crank ??? Yes may as well !!!
Btw the turbo's now are Precision T3/4 hybrids.. Much the same used on the group A Sierra RS500 X's 2...
