just wondering on what would be a good turbo for running twins on a 4lt, i was thinking 2 of these of ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/JJR380-Turbochar ... dZViewItem , would they be any good, maybe one large one would give more power i don't no but i just think running twin turbos would look wild, take more time but i have plenty of it lol.

wank factor is good but everything gets hard with the lack of space and need for 2 of everything.
Not sure on the quality of those turbo's either. |

meh i love the idea of twins, amazing throttle response if set up correctly. may top out not as high as big singles but its personal preferance...
go for it i say...

yer just love saying twin turbo eb, so what would be a nice setup, like what turbo size? would you run a turbo that you would run on a 2 litre or have a totally missed the whole point.

Two 300 /400 h.p turbo's or one big muther 700 /800 h.p turbo... The cheapest and reliable is the Master Power and there T70 would be about as big I'd want to on street engine etc... They work well on 5.0 turbo's as fitted in the states...

either that or go to any Jap wreckers and grab either:-
2x RB20DET turbos (2ltr straight six) also come out in a ball bearing version later on 2x RB25DET turbos (2.5 ltr s/six) 2x VG30DET (or TT cant remember) 3.0 ltr v6 cheapest way to get it up and running, using stock jap turbos that are readily avalible..

Two turbo's off a 2.5 is too small...
You need ONE from a 3 Ltr Times two... As in a single VG30 turbo...X's 2.... Or a VL turbo from RB30 X's 2... Turbo's fitted as std to engines back then where very small...

Turbo's fitted as std to engines back then where very small... yep thats what i was thinking, so what size turbos did they run i find a heap of t3/t4 garret ones but what brands and best bang for ya buck and size? need to be i/w to keep things tidy, also would rather buy 2 new ones than seconds then i no both turbos are doin the same amount of work and putting out the same, thanks guys

As long as you have the proper exahust they will be fine....

For a tt setup, would you have one turbo slightly bigger. so you would have one small and one big. So the smaller one would make boost down low and the bigger one for higher rpm.
Or am i completely wrong?

Or am i completely wrong? No .. at low boost one turbo will overpower the other and spin it backwards.... On a V8 one bank feeds EACH turbo... On the sequential engines all cylinders feed to BOTH turbo's....
