This looks great RSWEPN. Iam also in the very same position as you putting a BF engine into my XF. Was just wondering what you used for the engine mounts, radiator, and have you encountered a problem with the std alternator hitting the front crossmember. Also what gearbox are u looking at using.

I would reccomend that you join up at xfalcon.com and have a read of the sticky's and of some of my threads which cover these issues.

generally: EA mounts, EF radiator, alternator fits no issues. had a T5 but going to c-series auto.

if your alternator hits then you've probably used XG base mounts haven't you? tsk tsk

feel free to pm me any questions regarding this conversion as i'm canvassing discussions across a few forums between those of us who are actively involved in doing the conversion.

I can just see forums in a month or 2 covered in completed BA conversions into everything.

These older cars are going to start moving very quickly! :D

Branko had mentioned he scored a turbo block with bent rods, so its either a frankenstein N/A block with turbo head or just a red rocker cover... either way its a first class job.

look mate i was THERE putting the damn engine in the car. It was an N/A engine same as mine (see earlier posts by me). The turbo is a GCG spec GT35r external wastegate etc. Just because it has a red rocker cover doesn't mean its an XR6t engine! However, as stated, he did have a damaged one which he planned to build up later.

None of this detracts from the fact that its a pretty exclusive club of DOERS versus DREAMERS when it comes to this conversion.

Yeah, non turbo motor for the time being, we have a turbo engine that is going to be built.

Turbo is a GT35 with a 66mm comp wheel...and an .86 rear housing.
