sorry Bob wasnt having a go at u
lets face it a unichip fools the standard ECU modifies the signals on boost the unichip will modifyb the incoming EEC4 or 5 ECU in thinking its in a high laod situtation but the EEC4 or 5 depends what we talking about will not have a bar of it so to speak u have a unchip already mmmmmmmmmm pitty u done ur dough but then again depends how much money u have to play around with cause u have just locked ur self into a unichip franchise store which i believe is wrong the way unichip is sold have fun bob and my advice is sell it if u can and spend the money wisely next time Bob im easy going so im extremely sorry if i have offend u i didnt mean to tho cheers

With the money spent on tuning and retuning the Unichip after the Turbo setup is in, you could buy a Wolf 3D, EMS 8860 or similar.
Plus, like fpv_gtP said, it gives you the oppurtunity to shop around for better prices on tuning, or even to have a go at playing with the tune yourself. edit: answer the question Steady... Yeah, the Unichip I believe would be suitable for a very mild turbo setup, limited by whatever boost the Ford MAP sensor can take. Probably not much...

i know all the arguments for higher-spec ECU's - i don't have the knowledge to tune the maps etc, don't have or intend on buying a laptop to run the ECU etc etc - hence my reason for not spending the cash on one. $1500 ECU + $1000 laptop + $1000 dyno tuning/install etc = far too much for me to justify!
the unichip was purchased so that i could get the cam/intake/exhaust mods i wanted, have it tuned & forget about it - however i'm just investigating options before i decide which direction i'm going to head down, and the unichip may be all i need.

An EMS Stinger will do the job well..You need a map that READS boost...You don't need laptop..Approx $350 for tune thats it ...
So for approx $1250 you have an ecu about the same $$ as s**t.....
