Gday everyone,

Well its been some time since I have really done any mods to my BF and im looking at the capa V2 Reverse Rotation Supercharger 8psi non intercooled. Now as much as I would love one from BPT the budgets just now there. Now with 3 kids and a mortgage..yeah lol. Powercruise for Darwin is approaching and the other half going to let me spend some money  . I only have $6000 so I do have some questions.

Run down.
BF as it stands.

Full stainless steel exhaust.
Performance pbr slotted front rotors.
Excedy HD clutch and light weight flywheel.
CAI(not like that matters now)

Ok should I need to change the oil pump gears? Injectors Capa did say the standard ones are good for 310rkws. But its a 400kw kit I might squeeze out a bit more there ya think? Non intercooled going to be bad for here in sunny Darwin? The most important question is, is it money well spent for producing more power. It started off yeah ill get 4.11 for my diff that will knock off time down the 1/4, but works out to be near 5 grand anyway from harrop through D and T.

Look any advice and experience with these kits will be greatly appreciated.

Dan

i wouldnt worry bout the pump gears just yet,but if you are goin for boost i'd suggest the injector and fuel pump upgrade also factor in the price of a tune as the capa one isnt the best also need new plugs i think thats bout it
also with the heat i try not to give it as much of a hiding when its hot but ýou will notice a small decrease in power due to heat
i think 6k should get you over the line just

Don't do it. Oil pump gears are a known issue, fix them. A Centrifugal blower will underwhelm, get a Kenne Bell from BluePower. Save the cash until you can afford to spend $15k on a blower setup to do it right!

not everyone want to spend 15k on a blower......trust me you'll be more than happy with a v2 i've had mine for near on 3 years and it has never skipped a beat.sure the kenne bell is a better setup but bang for your buck cant go wrong with a v2

Power delivery and disability. A Kenne Bell walks all over a Centri, and makes more power and torque to boot. The low down torque of a Twin Screw fills the Boss motor's torque defecit really well.

Thanks guys for your replies. Ok fuel pump, plugs and injectors ill get them. As for the oil pump gears, ill think about it, im installing an oil pressure gauge on the weekend so.... Its easy to say go and get a top mounted blower, but realistically its not going to happen. Justifying this amount to the misses was hard enough. If I could achieve 350rkws I would be over the moon, ill be interest to see what I can get out of this setup. It goes on in a months time, ill post results when I get them.

the problem with the centrifugal chargers (vortech) is you need to rev it to make boost, which means you also need to rev it to make the desired power..

if your after down low grunt with similar power results, then the above style charger is what you want.

If I was going to dump 15k on a motor it sure as s**t would not be just a kenne belle PD blower kit. Sure they are nice but CHI could build you a 6-700hp cleveland motor for similar dollars. I know exactly which way my wallet would swing and I'm sure as s**t I'm not the only one.

I wasn't going to make a new Post for this one question, so here it is.

Capa have informed me that I don't require a 2 bar map sensor, what are your thoughts. I have read everywhere that @ 8 psi and sea level you need one?

Thanks.
