just wondering if anyone has actually disconnected their waste gate and vented to atmosphere? Yes i know it is pointless but it does sound pretty cool. sounds like a show off valve on a rex a little bit

Yeah sounds pretty damn tuff. A mate had a screamer pipe on his R33 and it sounded like the exhaust was dropped off at the turbo whenever it came onto peak boost.

The screamer... basically, the wastegate vents out into the exhaust, but, some poeple vent it out to the open air and when the w'gate opens it vents out air which as you can expect, is very very loud.
Screamers are fun for awhile, but you get sick of the noise very fast
