Ive made my manifolds, but forgot to take the wastegate into it... how important is wastegate piping as far as where it is located? All i can do is make a 180 degree turn out of the merger pipe to the wastegate, then from the wastegate into another 90 degree before it gets to the exhaust... but the 180degree turn flows in the same direction as the exhaust... would i be able to mount it in one of the exhaust headers, or the merger pipe and get a decent result? sorry for no pics but its too dark

As long as the radius of the curve is reasonable, and the entrance angle of the exhaust gasses is reasonably close to the flow direction you will be fine. Try to stay away from taking the pipe off perpendicular to flow, or worse.

taking it off the turbine housing is also an option.
