what are your thought's on having the wastegate plumbed straight off your turbo exhaust housing. it alway's use to hold 14 perfectly and go straight to it, but now running more and a different plenum (which shouldn't make any difference as my boost reference line is straight after the turbo) i have a 7psi spring to run 17 and it sort of starts at 12 and end's up at 17.
i thought it might be the way it's plumbed off the manifold, not getting enough exhaust flow. hence the idea of putting it straight off the housing. just funny how it use to work really well. your thought's. marty |

yes strait of the housing work very well.
has your tune changed? has exhaust changed?

Its the best way to go as far as boost control goes if you dont mind cutting into your housing.
ebs_4l, 6boost and ETM all do it because it works the best. |

the only thing with the exhaust is the cat is a little more see through, going straight off the housing is the easiest way with the room available. would it upset the flow to the turbo much or like you say alot of quick car's do it

that's pretty much what i've got. and after reading ebs 4l , he stuffed around, plumbed 2 into 1 sort of thing and still didn't work, so it'll probably go on the housing.
is your's running daz, does it work well |

is your's running daz, does it work well Yeah mate, but had an ignition and timing issue which has been sorted and i am waiting for the call to come and pick up the car. I am expecting the wastegate to work properly. Stinger is controlling the boost, which has reached 14 psi at 4000rpm. Cheers Daz

T70.....a bit late???not sure what you mean, starts to boost at 2000rpm, by 4000, you're definately in the back of the seat....lol Daz

mine is at full boost by 2200. your's is full by 4000. no worries just a bit different

yes that is pretty late for a 4l with a t3 turbo.
i would expect full boost at 4000 rpm with a 900hp turbo.

Sounds like the trim on exhaust wheel needs changing to tighter / lower trim ??
What type of wastegate is that ?? I have heard bad bad things about cheap E bay w/gates etc...

yeah that's the go, if ebs 4l is around what's the best way to go around welding it. use cast bend's, pre heat the housing up, tig it then let it cool slowly. almost post heat. any particular filler.
