Good or Bad Before turbo or after?

Apparently can pit the turbo blades if positioned before turbo.

Why fit prior to the turbo the aim of the cooling is to cool the air after it has gone through the turbo and been heated up.

As for ease of fitment, it's just a longer hose. |

Try a sealed s/steel container that can be pressurized with boost and fit a GOOD elect water pump and nozzle about 100mm outside throttle body.. Either through ecu or pressure switch to turn pump on.. It seems best to run 50/50 water / metho / ethanol ... Alcohol fuels cool big time!!!

you install it after turbo & before the T/B, but I prefer tapping the jet nozzle after the T/B setup, on the plenum itself. its an ideal setup if you're limited on space & wish to keep the upper cylinders sparkling clean, eliminating detonation & keeping the air/fuel charge cool. just remember that carbon crust forming in the combustion chambers glows red hot causing premature detonation at high revs & boost, where the risk are alot higher.

The reason I like pre throttle body ??
Is it helps bust up atomise the mixture due to alittle turbulence and maybe better chance of cooling in comeing air being there's addded metho which is an added fuel...There is less chance of vacuum sucking mixture from bottle when throttle is closed...

Thats true, but I don't like the idea of water/meth getting sucked through when the butterfly is close & there was a leak with the jets. most probably damage the sensors on the T/B. LOL

There are no sensors in throttle body... The tps is external and its a potential resister anyway.. Some aftermarket systems have an extra injector on the outside of the bend to save fitting higher flowing injectors...
It doesn't really matter either way...Its just that if your using it as an extra enrichment to get better, even distribution on all cylinder it can give it a better chance...

It might rust out the resistors on the isc\tps. lol
l just realise something with the after T/B setup if the thottle is at WOT- engine suction will over come the fogging jets ability to spread the mist evenly. maybe good on carby system on 6's & 8's after all. Thats it, my next water injection system will be tapped half way down the intake tube. that'll give the water/meth time to cool the air more.
