Ive bought a new Garrett GT35/40 turbo to replace my oil cooled T04E so oil lines are already there, will i need to put a restrictor in the oil line or would the turbo have 1 built in already?
It does say that if oil pressure is below 60psi then it wont need a restrictor. Today i bought all the speedflow fittings and hose for the water lines, cost $130. where should i get the water supply from? would it be any good using one of these things cut into the heater hose: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Water-temp-gauge ... dZViewItem whats the inner diameter of the ford heater hoses? or should i tap into the thermostat housing where has everybody else ran there water lines too? and any pics? thanks people, so many questions lol |

There are many ways. One of the threads on thermostat housing ? T off heater hose and run return to header tank ??
Try to get high pressure side and low pressure so there's some flow.. As for oil restrictors ?? The can be bought from GCG .. http://www.gcg.com.au/turbo/ViewProduct ... ductID=140 But it won't hurt turbo if you fitted up lines and it smokes, you'll have to fit one.. Make sure oil return line to sump is big enough .. With plenty of crankcase ventilation.. Drilling out rear rocker breather helps heaps.. Remember the PCV closes under boost.. Or it should!! Leaving only 1 vent while on boost.. Where you need crankcase ventilation.. This can also add to seals leaking..
