Getting your head shaved will raise the comp,Not make it lower.
AU MLS gasket will be your best choice.

I'm hazarding a guess by ground he means he is getting meat taken out of the bowls, not shaved.

I've heard not to use a copper gasket as they dont seal well with the galleries .
Use an au head gasket or even 2 .

I worried about gaskets with my turbo ef so i ordered a so called special one from a well known company that specialise in i6 motors and i paid a arm and a leg for it only to find out it was a genuine ford au mls one... Jipped.
So au mls is the way to go

Copper gasket and O ringed heads work fine if done properly..
BUT it's for extreme power levels where head studs etc are fitted.. Mine has a sealant over gasket, block and head.. Had no issues in 10 years..
