Those turbos have a VERY bad reputation. Extremely poor castings that crack and they are knows for simply falling apart (the compressor housing is glued on). Have a search of some import forums and you will find pictures of catastrophic failures as they send shrapnel through your intake.
here are a few quotes from people who have bought them Quote: I bought 2 of the XSPOWER turbos and they literally lasted just a couple of hours each Quote: I bought one of their "GT28RS" turbo's... which btw, are actually rip-off's of the Garrett GT28R.. not the Garrett GT28RS. In any case the turbo lasted 2 days at 14PSI.. 2 days of daily driving Quote: Don't waste your money on one.....they seize, they crack, the compressor wheels detach themselves from the shaft.....not worth the risk. Quote: after about 30 miles of driving, the compressor housing broke in half!it appears the two halfs are held together with some kind of epoxy? Quote: it ran fine for the initial test drive.then, the second time he drove it,after a few minutes it started blowing oil smoke under boost, and was only making a couple pounds of boost.it then went to making a very strange noise when spooling(much more low pitched than the normal turbo sound-probably due to the vanes trying to eat thru the housing ),and would make no boost.
could post heaps more but you get the idea...
