sure is only problem for some is you need to solder it yourself and also buy the hand controller. At $150 all up its good value though I'm going to get those + the boost controller |

my car runs rich as atm (dunno if its just mine or a general falcon thing):
also, do you guys think a VL turbo would be big enough for a 4L? i've also seen T3/T4 turbos for cheap on ebay, surely something like that would give some sort of power increase (160-170 ish maybe )

hmmmmmmmmmm, can you please explain where you can see it running rich as????
you dont want it any leaner than that really, thats a perfect power mixture for it

you dont want it any leaner than that really, thats a perfect power mixture for it i know 14.7 is stoich and it wont be running at that but i thought at least 14 would be good but the reason i say its rich is that it smells REALLY rich when its running. i wasn't aware that 13 is considered normal..

14.7 is stoich but only good for idle/cruising loads. For n/a under power, 13 is good... for boosted engines you dont want anything much leaner than 12.5 really...

just reviving this thread, wondering if a VL turbo or some sort of T3/4 turbo (most likely off ebay) would be big enough for a 4L falcon.
also, wiring the extra injector is the easy part, how do i get the fuel to it?

I've got a smaller turbo to install in mine but i dont expect it to still be boosting above 4800rpm, it all depends on where you want the power and how much, a t3/4 turbo would be a decent choice for your setup |

If you wanna slide then you'll need lots of power, which rules out a cheapo turbo job

Ive got a series 5 RX7 turbo, in stock form they are good for almost 200rwkw in an RX7 and can boost @15psi for a few months without trouble. Im only aiming for 160rwkw with VERY early response. I will start a detailed thread soon, but i havn't yet installed anything |

i've only got 139rwkw at the moment and i can still kick it out on most low speed corners. i reckon 160rwkw would be a good point to aim for... that probably not gonna be enough for a decent job at mallala but in the wet and on small tracks like port gawler (or side streets) i can still have fun...
