Hey matt, do you know for certain that the MoTec will suit the Ford DVCT? Just about every (decent priced) ECU manufacturer i have called bar MoTec (because i'm poor) has told me that their ECU's aren't programed to run the VCT actuator solenoids.

its a $300 'upgrade' to get the DVCT function enabled. this one has: - advanced functions enabled (launch control, traction control, and all other stuff) - 5 bar map sensor - sensor plug kit - air temp sensor plug kit - 34 pin 26 pin gold box etc and more importantly, now i can run my BA/F dash cluster a BA/BF ECU run a BA/BF cluster, and i think its easier to get running than a motec |

alfy, sure did
i used XG engine mounts & brackets glenn, im not using a BA dash anymore the interior is getting completely stripped, there will be no dash, just steering wheel, and a Motec SDL (sports dash logger)... rrp $2695 |

it bolted STRAIGHT IN
i used the XG brackets and mounts. fitted perfectly bonnet clearance / fouling (the XB GT bonnet bulge will fix that) firewall clearance plenty of room for a big radiator and thermos |

Would cutting out the bracing on the bonnet give you much more clearance? It looks like it's a pretty big lump.
Also WTF is that...thing...on the oil filter? Is that a water fed oil cooler? |

yep it sure is. good way to keep the oil cool
yeh removing the bracing would probably have the engine just touching (or missing) the top part of the bonnet. but under load it would hit. so the XB GT bonnet grafted on will work |

Is it stock!? I never knew they had them! You learn something new every day. Where is the water fed from and where does it drain to?

yep stock F6 motor that i know of.
one goes to the thermostate, the other goes to the water pump. iirc |

as you can see, the XB GT bonnet has a sizeable bulge
this should be suffice to clear the motor |

ok i got busy last night.
started to remove the interior. also removed the engine looms (to modify) and the main body loom was removed. also ive been testing the different paths i can use for the belt. unsure which is the best route. since the crankshaft and waterpump need the most belt coverage, and the power steering needs the least |
